Les Faubourgs

The district of Ville-Marie’s newest creative hub, Les Faubourgs was established in 2009. The territory includes the boroughs of Sainte-Marie and Saint-Jacques on either side of the Jacques-Cartier Bridge. Among the first suburbs of Montreal, Sainte-Marie (also called Centre-Sud and Saint-Jacques) were once very animated and populated working class boroughs. The territory of Les Faubourgs covers Berri Street to L’Espérance Street inclusively, and reaches from the St. Lawrence River to Sherbrooke Street.
